How do I uninstall or reinstall the SHG Living app?

Uninstalling and reinstalling the SHG Living app is easy. It can also be helpful in making sure you have the latest version of the app on your device.

Android (mobile)

1. Go to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > All > SHG Living and press Uninstall
2. Power-off the device fully, then turn it back on
3. Navigate to the Google Play Store and search for SHG Living
4. Reinstall the SHG Living app from the Google Play Store
5. Log back in with your existing username and password
6. If you can’t remember your username or password, go here for instructions on how to reset/recover

Android TV

In your TV’s settings:

1. From the Android TV Home screen, scroll to Settings
2. Under Device, select Apps
3. Under Downloaded apps, choose the app you want to delete
4. Select Uninstall

In the Play Store:

1. On your Android TV, open the Play Store
2. Find the SHG Living app
3. Select Uninstall

Tip: If you don’t want an app to show up in the top row of the Android TV Home screen, turn off notifications for that app. Go to Settings > Apps. Then, select an app > Notifications > Off.

Apple TV (4th generation or later)

1.  On the home menu, highlight the SHG Living app > click and hold down the Touch surface for an extended moment, until the app icon starts to shake indicating that you have selected it successfully
2. Now select the Play/Pause button on your Apple TV remote > highlight the Delete option and click the Touch surface to uninstall
3. Go to the Apple App Store and reinstall the SHG Living app
4. Log back in with your existing username and password
5. If you can’t remember your username or password, go here for instructions on how to reset/recover

Chromecast (Android)

1. Go to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > All > uninstall both SHG Living and the Google Home apps
2. Power-off the device fully, then turn it back on
3. Reinstall the apps from the Google Play Store
4. Log back in with your existing username and password

Chromecast (iOS)

1. Press and hold down the SHG Living or Google Home app for an extended moment, until the app icon starts to shake indicating that you have selected it successfully > Tap the X on the upper corner of the icon to delete the SHG Living app.
2. Power-off the device fully, then turn it back on
3. Go to the Apple App Store and reinstall the SHG Living app
4. Log back in with your existing username and password
5. If you can’t remember your username or password, go here for instructions on how to reset/recover

Fire TV and Fire TV Stick

1. From the main menu sidebar, go to Settings > Applications > SHG Living > Uninstall
2. Power-off the device fully, then turn it back on
3. Once complete, re-download the application by going to Search > enter “SHG Living” > select the SHG Living app > Download
4. Log back in with your existing username and password
5. If you can’t remember your username or password, go here for instructions on how to reset/recover

iPhone and iPad

1. From your Home screen, tap and hold the SHG Living app for an extended moment, until the app icon starts to shake indicating that you have selected it successfully. Tap the app again and press Delete
2. Power-off the device fully, then turn it back on
3. Go to the Apple App Store and reinstall the SHG Living app

Click on the cloud icon to re-download. Once the download is complete, tap Open to reopen SHG Living

1. Log back in with your existing username and password

Roku

1. From the Roku main menu, highlight the SHG Living app using your Roku remote. Press the asterisk or star button on your Roku remote, and then select ‘Remove Channel’
2. Power-off the device fully, then turn it back on
3. Got to the Roku Channel Store to reinstall the SHG Living app. Once you’ve located the SHG Living app, select Add Channel
4. Log back in with your existing username and password
